Bavarian Cream Frosting
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a jelly-roll pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and smooth. Add the eggs and mix well. Blend in the sour cream and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined. Fold in the mashed bananas and mix just until evenly incorporated.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before frosting.
Bowl One: Pour 2 cups heavy whipping cream into a mixing bowl and add 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Beat until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Bowl Two: In a second mixing bowl, combine 2 cups softened cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar. Beat on high speed until completely smooth and creamy.
Combine: Add the whipped cream from Bowl One to the cream cheese mixture in Bowl Two. Blend together on low speed, just until smooth and fully combined.
Spread the Bavarian cream frosting generously over the completely cooled banana bars. Cover and refrigerate. Serve chilled.

Santa's Secret Chili

Santa's Secret Chili, as text
Ingredients: 2–3 pounds ground beef; 1 whole onion, chopped; 1 whole green bell pepper, chopped; 1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes (with their juice); 1 (15 oz) can corn, drained; 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed; 1 (15 oz) can Great Northern white beans, drained and rinsed; 1 (15 oz) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed; about 1 cup salsa; 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Roasted Beef Base; 1 whole cube of butter; Alaska Pure Sea Salt (to taste); onion powder, chili powder, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper and smoked paprika (to taste); all spice (about 1½ teaspoons); Alaska Pure Sea Salt Co. Alder Smoked Sea Salt (generously to taste).
- In a large Dutch oven, melt the whole cube of butter. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
- Add the ground beef. While browning the beef, add the Alaska Pure Sea Salt, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, black pepper, smoked paprika and all spice. Cook until the beef is browned and no longer pink.
- Add the chopped green bell pepper. Cook for a few minutes.
- Add the salsa. Stir to combine.
- Add the diced tomatoes (with their juice). Stir to combine.
- Add all the beans (drained and rinsed) and the drained corn. Stir in the Better Than Bouillon Roasted Beef Base.
- Simmer on low, stirring occasionally, for at least 30 minutes. The longer it simmers, the better it tastes. Add more seasonings to taste. Enjoy!
